We want to help your hair snap back from winter damage, so we’re sharing some of our must know tips for helping to keep your hair healthy, happy and looking gorgeous during and after the winter months if you’re experiencing some damage.
Ease Up on The Heat
Since our hair tends to get drier during the winter months, many notice that the hair looks and feels pretty dry and brittle. To really help you hair snap back from too my dryness, you’re going to want to try to ease up on how often you’re using heat on your hair. Since heated hair styling tools can add to even more dryness on the hair, it can cause more damage. Try to minimize how often you’re using heat on your hair for a bit to give it a break and a chance to really snap back. We’re not saying you have to completely cut it off, but try to cut back as much as you can for a few weeks to give your hair a chance to recuperate. In addition, when you do use heat on your hair make sure that you don’t do so unless you apply a heat protectant product to your hair to make sure that your hair is well protected.
Add More Moisture
As we said above, we tend to have a lot of dryness in our hair from so many different elements. Cutting back on how often you’re using heat to style your hair is one great step, but you’re also going to want to add more moisture to your hair as well. Adapting shampoo and conditioning products that are formulated to help add moisture and hydration is going to be crucial here. In addition to that, many experts suggest adding in a deep conditioning and/or hair mask that helps to add nourishment and moisture to your hair in a really powerful way. Most suggest doing these types of hair treatments on a weekly basis to really get the most benefit from your efforts. They really help to heal your hair and lock in moisture.
